Payouts, fees and refunds

Where ticket money goes, how to connect Stripe, and how refunds work.

Connect payouts

Dashboard → Payouts → Connect payouts. Stripe asks for your legal name, date of birth, the last digits of your tax ID, a bank account for payouts and sometimes a photo ID. It takes a few minutes; Stripe may review for up to a day, and the Payouts page shows "reviewing" until it is live. Owners and team admins can do this.

Where the money goes

Every ticket is charged directly into your own Stripe account. Stripe pays out to your bank on its schedule, which you control in the Stripe dashboard. Ujima never holds your money.

Fees

Ujima adds a small service fee per paid ticket, lower on paid plans and none on Growth, plus Stripe's card processing. By default both are added at checkout so you receive the full ticket price; you can choose to absorb them instead so guests see one clean price. Free tickets never carry a fee.

Refunds

  • A refund always goes back to the card the guest paid with. It cannot go anywhere else.
  • You decide on refund requests: open the order in the event console and choose Refund. Ujima's fee is returned too.
  • Cancelling an event refunds every paid ticket in full, automatically.
  • Set a refund policy line on the event so guests know the rules before they buy.

Disputes

If a guest disputes a charge with their bank, Stripe handles it from your account and emails you. Keep the guest list and check-in records; they are your evidence.
